The next AAIP meeting will be on Thursday, September 23rd at 6:30pm at South City Kitchen Buckhead, 3350 Peachtree Rd NE Suite 175, Atlanta, GA 30326 with registration beginning at 6:00pm. This meeting will be held in-person and on Zoom.

Attendance to this meeting and all AAIP meetings is restricted to members only.

There will be two presentations for the evening:

• "Xarelto: Advancements in VTE Prophylaxis of Acutely Ill Medical Patients and Treatment of DVT/PE" will be presented by Victor Tapson, MD, Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of Pulmonary Critical Care and Director of Venous Thromboembolism Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Tapson is a paid speaker for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. There is no CE for this presentation.

• "Pediatric Congenital Heart Defects: Understanding the Basics" will be presented by Joshua Branstetter, PharmD, BCPPS, Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
